Oumi Karenga-Hewitt

Project Officer, Regional Development Australia – Riverina

I have worked in various industries during my career becoming increasingly involved in supporting growth in regional business, arts and communities since 2015. Regional towns have so much to offer and I am always excited to help develop that anyway I can. The majority of my career has been spent in marketing, with further experience in education and economic development. I currently work at RDA Riverina, and am preparing to launch my own business in 2022. I also provide freelance marketing support locally and across NSW.

I am involved with a number of local groups and organisations in various capacities including Western Riverina Arts, Griffith Young Professionals, Soroptimist International, Griffith & Regional Association of the Performing Arts and more. I love the performing arts and have been involved in a number of productions as a producer, director and actor; It’s great being part of such an active arts community.
