Facilitated Mentor/Mentee Workshop Dinner 19 July 2022
Selected mentors and mentees will meet for a facilitated workshop. We will outline the mentor/mentee relationship, the expectations of each side, and give a structure for the program.
-
Mentor/Mentee Relationship
After the workshop, it will be up to the mentor and mentee to decide when and how often to meet.
To make the most of the mentoring program, the mentee should plan to meet (or talk) regularly with the mentor (recommendation: every 4-6 weeks) and set that time to explore career issues and concerns. This can be in person, via video, or over the phone. It's up to the mentor and mentee to decide what works best for their relationship.
Keeping a list of questions as they arise can be a good way to begin conversations with your mentor. The mentor will encourage the mentee to go beyond the practical questions and develop a professional development plan. Ultimately, each mentee takes responsibility for her own growth and success, but the mentor can aid in exploring the best ways to accomplish this. -
Mentor Program Catchups Nov 2022 and Feb 2023
We will organise two catch up events for current Mentor Program participants. Mentors and mentees can share tips and updates with the group in a casual gathering - we're thinking something fun like cocktails and dinner!

Mentor Program Graduation March 2023
The Mentor program will end with a graduation in March 2023. Mentors and mentees may choose to continue the relationship on their own after the close of the program.
